Calgary firefighters respond to high stress incidents such as structure fires, emergency medical incidents, hazardous materials incidents, and motor vehicle collisions. Our department includes specialty units: aquatic rescue, hazardous material and technical rescue teams.

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA), established in November 2017 as a Crown corporation under the Treasury Board, aims to streamline public safety services throughout the province. Functioning as Saskatchewan's provincial public safety organization, the Agency collaborates with municipalities and First Nations to bolster the resilience and capacity of local communities in responding to emergencies.
